Privacy Policy

We are voluntary members of and certified by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).

We, therefore, subscribe to their Code of Professional Practice which is here: https://www.rec.uk.com/recruiters/compliance/code-professional-practice

In respect of confidentiality and privacy we adopt the following under clause 10:

a. Members must observe the highest principles of integrity, professionalism, equity and fair practice to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of candidate and client information and should respect the confidentiality of records in accordance with law and good business practice.

b. Members and their staff must ensure that they have obtained consent or that they have another legal basis which they can rely on (such consent or legal basis to be documented) before disclosing, transferring, displaying, submitting or seeking confidential or personal information.

In practice this means:
  • If you have registered with us we may know your career history, your aspirations, have your contact details and have a copy of your CV. Even if we don’t know you personally or have met you we may know about you from mutual contacts and from what is available publicly on Linkedin, company websites, etc.
  • When we approach you about a job we think you could be a good match for or if you apply for a job with us we will ask for your consent to guide you through the process and share your details and CV with any potential clients/employers. This includes keeping your details in case something else comes up in future. If you don’t want us to do this please just let us know.
  • Sometimes we are asked on behalf of our clients to produce a ‘longlist’ or market map of appropriate candidates that we approach proactively for them discreetly. We provide only the details that are necessary (name, title, current employer) and information that is listed publicly on Linkedin. Please let us know if you prefer us exclude you from any searches such as this.
