 Due to recent successes, a global communications agency is looking to add a senior hire to their team. Their clients include household names and blue-chip companies covering a broad range of sectors some of which include FMCG, Food & Drink, Retail, Sports & Leisure.

Minimum requirements:

  • A proven track record of working within a consultancy environment, demonstrated by working within another communications agency.
  • A strong track record of working on UK and/or international public affairs campaigns and issues.

Senior Account Manager/Account Director

London - £40,000 - £50,000+

Melbury Wood are working with a boutique, full service communications consultancy that are looking to build out their public affairs team. Due to exciting new business, they are seeking a Senior Account Manager or Account Director to join their growing team. A communications specialist with a passion for politics and experience with national public affairs, would be a great fit for this close-knit team.  


As part of this role you would have the opportunity to work across a range of accounts including well-known corporations, trade associations, public sector bodies, NGOs, and government departments in the UK and internationally. You will become a well-respected advisor to clients and manage junior consultants.  


Requirements: 

  • 2-5 years' relevant experience 
  • Understanding of the UK government and devolved administrations 
  • Detailed knowledge of the UK policy landscape and keeping up to date on new developments 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Drive for new business and networking 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral 
  • Trusted advisor to clients on complex communications challenges.  


Responsibilities: 

  • Developing public affairs, corporate communications, PR and thought leadership strategies 
  • Providing clients with expert advice 
  • Developing a range of materials including reports, press releases, media statements and policy briefings  
  • Organising events, supporting speakers, managing attendee lists and drafting speeches 
  • Reputation management and crisis communications projects; 
  • Relationship building 
  • Collaborating on new business proposals and pitches  
  • Getting involved with company-wide initiatives, including training and development

Account Manager (property and planning)

London - £29,000 - £45,000

A leading property and planning specialist agency is looking add mid-level hires to their team at the Account Manager and Senior Account Manager level. With a UK wide network, you will be working on large scale developments in a range of sectors across planning, consultation, engagement and post-construction PR. You will be able to work remotely whilst being willing to travel to projects and client sites as required. A good knowledge of the planning process and local government is essential, whilst an existing track record in consultancy is highly desirable.
 

Minimum requirements:

· A strong track record of working on property and planning issues evidenced through consultancy work or working in local government is essential.

 A market leading integrated communications agency is looking to add an Account Director to their well established public affairs team. The role will involve working on some household names and brands across a range of sectors including financial services, tech, infrastructure, transport, health, housing, property, energy, sport & leisure, etc. 

Minimum requirements:

  • A proven track record of working within a consultancy envrionment, demonstrated by working within another communications agency.  
  • A good knowledge of and passion for UK politics and Whitehall. 

What they are looking for:

  • A track record of working on other public affairs campaigns in the UK. 
  • A good understanding of the frameworks and processes within Whitehall and Westminster.

A good track record of working in another consultancy is highly desirable in addition to a good knowledge of healthcare policy process from local to national frameworks including NICE, Care Quality Commission and Dept. of Health. You will get the opportunity to work on exciting developments across planning, consultation, stakeholder mapping, political engagement and post-construction PR. This agency operates a hybrid working environment with additional travel to development sites where necessary. A well-established understanding of the planning process and local government is required, this is preferably demonstrated by a previous track record in a consultancy.
